Globe valves
Globe valves for on/off applications are designed to reliably open or close the flow in a system without the need for throttling or intermediate positions. How do globe valves work in on/off applications?
A globe valve uses a cone-shaped plug (or disc) that is pressed against a seat to achieve a tight seal. This design ensures outstanding sealing performance, even under high pressures and temperatures, as well as in applications involving very low temperatures. Because of their reliability and durability, globe valves are often the preferred choice in systems handling steam, gases, liquids, or other media where operational safety is a top priority.
They can be operated manually or automated using electric or pneumatic actuators for fast and remote-controlled operation. Additionally, their straight-through flow path minimizes pressure loss when the valve is open, improving overall energy efficiency in the system.
