Process valves
Process valves are specialized components used in industrial processes to control the flow, pressure, temperature, and direction of fluids within pipelines or systems. They are designed to meet specific operational requirements and can be found in a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, water treatment, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and more.
They are available in many different designs, materials and sizes. The type of fluid, flow rate, pressure, temperature, and required level of control are all factors in the selection of process valves.
We offer ball valves, check valves, butterfly valves, vacuum valves, gate valves and globe valves in a unique variety of materials, ranging from 316L to Hastelloy C-276 and Inconel.

Different types of process valves
Ball valves
Ball Valves are one of the most used fluid shutoff valves. There are many advantages of using ball valves, to name a few it has a quick quarter turn on/off operation, it is smaller in size than most valves and it has a tight sealing with low torque. Ramén Valves produce its own line of ball valves in Fagersta, Sweden. We also distribute ball valves from the Danish manufacturer Uni-Valve.
Check valves
Check valves, also called one-way valves, are designed to stop backflow (reverse flow). Consequently, they protect compressors and pumps from damage. We manufacture two styles of check valves; swing type check valve and globe style check valves in Y-type design. Ranging in size from DN8-600. Our check valves are all made in Fagersta, Sweden.
Butterfly valves
A butterfly valve is a quarter-turn rotational motion valve, used to stop, regulate, and start flow. Butterfly valves are beneficial when you need a compact design with quick operation that requires less time to open or close. Our butterfly valves are made in Sweden for shut-off or simple regulation of corrosive gases and liquids. They are available in a wide range of high alloys and titanium.
Vacuum relief valves
Process equipment, pipelines and atmospheric storage tanks must be protected against being subjected to an internal vacuum (i.e., pressures below 0 kPag) that is lower than the equipment can withstand. In such cases, the Ramén vacuum relief valves (also called vacuum vent valves) are installed and set to open at a predetermined vacuum set pressure limit. This is to admit atmospheric air into the process equipment, pipeline or atmospheric storage tank, to control the amount of vacuum. These valves are spring operated, with metal to metal seat.
Safety valves
A safety valve is a valve which automatically actuates, without the assistance of any energy other than that of the fluid concerned, discharges a quantity of the fluid so as to prevent a predetermined safe pressure being exceeded, and which is designed to reclose and prevent further flow of fluid after normal pressure conditions of service have been restored. Ramén Valves offer safety valves from the German brand Herose.
