Gate valves
Gate valves, also known as sluice valves, are great for tight shut-off of liquids. Gate valves are particularly suitable for fibre suspensions or other processes containing a considerable amount or solid particles. The multi-turn opening and closing reduces the risk of fluid hammering in the system.

How gate valves work
Gate valves work by using a gate-like disc (often called a "gate" or "wedge") that moves up and down to open or close the flow of fluid through the valve. They are primarily used to start or stop the flow of liquids in a pipeline rather than to regulate flow.
Gate valves are designed to provide minimal flow resistance when fully open, meaning they cause very little pressure drop in the system.
Common applications
Gate valves are commonly used in water, oil, and gas pipelines, as well as in various industrial processes where a reliable shutoff is required. They are ideal for applications where the valve needs to be either fully open or fully closed and where the flow does not need to be frequently adjusted.
